TM-ON-STREET

Transparent and proactive control of transport processes

With TM-ON-STREET, you keep a complete overview of your road transports and significantly increase the transparency of your transport process, regardless if it is your own fleet or an outsourced transport service. Events on a tour, such as loading and unloading at the customer's premises can be systematically recorded and continuously monitored. A distinction can be made between events that are expected, such as arrival at your customer's site, and events that are unexpected, such as the occurrence of a traffic jam or accident. This direct feedback from your driver gives you the opportunity to quickly draw conclusions and initiate follow-up activities (e.g. adjusting the current route planning). This allows your dispatchers to proactively control and improve processes.

TM-ON-STREET provides the driver with important route section information at a glance. Create a smooth flow in your transport process by digitizing the accompanying freight documents and additional information, such as a detailed unloading location or the unloading time of the customer.
In addition to expected and unexpected events, your driver can also report delivery receipt confirmations or damage reports of the goods to be delivered. Thanks to the integrated camera function, these can be documented with corresponding photos. All information is written back to the freight order or freight unit, ensuring correct assignment.

Once receipt of the goods has been fully confirmed, the "Proof of Delivery" event can trigger follow-up activities. For example, related freight settlement documents can be created in SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM).

The offline functionality of TM-ON-STREET ensures that the driver can enter data even if there is no internet connection. This ensures that no entered data is lost. As soon as an internet connection is available again, the data will be synchronized with your SAP TM system.

Technical details

TM-ON-STREET is developed as a hybrid app based on SAPUI5. Therefore, it can be used on almost all end devices running iOS, Android and Windows Phone. The app has responsive design that dynamically adapts to the size of the screen.

The primary technical requirement of TM-ON-STREET is the usage of SAP Transport Management (SAP TM) as well as SAP Event Management (SAP EM). Additionally you get an instance for the SAP Business Technology Platform by purchasing the app. This sets the stage for offline synchronization as well as push notifications from your dispatcher to your driver. SAP Business Technology Platform is operated by SAP in its own data centers, which ensures the security of its data. The encrypted connection between SAP Business Technology Platform and your SAP TM backend system is ensured via the SAP HANA Cloud Connector.
